Honey Wheat Pancakes

If you’re like me you’re constantly trying to eat healthier…and constantly failing to do so. About every month or so I get this earth-shattering realization that junk food is bad for me and I need to start eating healthier and working out more…and this lasts for about a week or so before I slowly fall into bad habits again. But the good thing is that no matter how many times I fail at my healthy-eating regimen I always tell myself that I can do it again. You may fall hard but picking yourself up is what counts. Lemon Drizzle Cake

 

When life gives you lemons…you make a lemon drizzle cake. Or actually if life gives you exams, pretend you don’t need to study even though behavioral neuroscience is not the most intuitive subject in the world, and proceed to procrastinate by blogging. Which is funny (or just ironic) since I’ve been procrastinating with this blog like no tomorrow. Something else that’s funny (or not): I made this cake a while back *insert monkey-see-no evil emoji* …and have finally come around to posting it!

Black Forest Cake

If you read my very first post on this blog, you know that I experienced my fair share of guilt for using box mixes to make brownies and cakes when I first started baking. But let’s be honest: there will be times when you’re in a cinch because you have unexpected guests or have to make dessert for a potluck or whatever, and you need to come up with a dessert fast! Something presentable, something delicious, but also something simple and quick!
